A Swedish Business Delegation comprising high-level representatives from 11 companies, largely based in Singapore, visited Phnom Penh on 18-20 March.
The event was jointly organised by the Embassies of Sweden in Singapore and Phnom Penh and in close cooperation with the Swedish Business Association of Singapore. The Business Delegation was lead by the Ambassador of Sweden to Singapore, Ingemar Dolfe, and the Ambassador of Sweden to Phnom Penh, Anne Höglund.
The programme for the Business Delegation included meetings with the Minister of Commerce, Secretary of State, Council for the Development of Cambodia, international organizations such as the World Bank and Asia Development Bank. In addition, the delegation had ample opportunity to receive first hand knowledge about the business climate in Cambodia from interactions with representatives from the business community in Cambodia, through panel discussions as well as networking sessions. The International Business Chamber of Cambodia generously shared experiences and business advice.
The visit provided a good opportunity to gain insight into business opportunities and how to do business in Cambodia. This will facilitate future business opportunities in Cambodia.
